ABOUT US | Famous Monster Pizza

Famous Monster Pizza L.L.C. is the brain child of owner Max Miller and his family. He has the help of his wife, Tami two daughters, Mandi and Marci and son Derek, as well as his five grandsons.

Their goal is to a offer a flavorful product using only quality meats, doughs and vegetables, in a fun but slightly frightful setting.

The theme and decor is a tribute to the classic monsters of the movies of the early to late 20th Century. The entrance, soda fountain and dining area are decorated from Max’s own personal collection of monster magazines, posters, books, toys and more. A collection that is 50 plus years in the making.

FMP first open in August 2018 at the corner of Monroe and Second Streets. in downtown Decatur, we then moved to our current larger historic location in May of 2021. Our south building was built in 1883 for the First National Bank and still retains many of the banks original features. The north building was used as the Cort Movie Theater from 1930-1956.
